In the Budget 2024-25, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated a substantial amount of ₹82,916 crore to the government-owned telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). According to the budget documents, the government has earmarked a total of ₹1.28 lakh crore for telecom projects and public sector telecom companies, with the majority of this amount going to BSNL. This significant allocation aims to boost the infrastructure and capabilities of BSNL, ensuring better telecom services across the nation.
